Maggie (Mei Qi) Lung is a Belgian filmmaker, writer and nail artist of Cantonese descent based in Antwerp. Her work moves between experimental and essayistic film, drawing from personal histories, memory, family, diaspora, womanhood and intimacy.

Working with archival material, voice-over, found footage and digital fragments, she approaches filmmaking as an act of preservation — not only of images, but of the feelings, inheritances and questions attached to them.

She is the founder of Studio Vitalesca, a nail art practice shaped by fashion, subculture and image-making. She creates wearable work for individual clients as well as editorial, fashion and collaborative projects.
